The Buzz: Brees, Haskins, Carr, Week 15 injury report

Saints quarterback Drew Brees celebrates a touchdown pass vs. the Vikings.

DREW BREES – QB/NO

The NFL Marketing Department is all happy! It’ll be Drew Brees against Patrick Mahomes after all! To quote Flounder from the parade scene in Animal House, “Oh Boy! Is this great!!!” – NFL.com

DWAYNE HASKINS – QB/WAS

Alex Smith’s strained calf means that Dwayne Haskins will start at quarterback for Washington on Sunday against Seattle. Haskins was benched after Week 4, and that can be a confidence shaking event for a young player. Or, the whole experience can apparently be something of a much bigger nature. Interpret the following quote from Haskins at your own risk – “I would say I’m pretty resilient,” Haskins said. “Life gets at you fast, and the biggest thing you can do is stand in the fire and walk through the flame and that’s what I did.” – via ESPN

DEREK CARR – QB/LV

A “significant groin injury” for Raiders’ quarterback Derek Carr, could be a “significant pain in the &#$” to your fantasy playoff hopes. And that’s even if Carr is somehow able to play next week against Miami. – NFL.com
