The Buzz: Kittle, Henry, Raiders quarterbacks

Niners tight end George Kittle had over 1,000 yards receiving last season.

It might not do the 49ers a lot of good, since their playoff chances are kaput. But for your lineup in your fantasy matchup to win the league title? Nice. Tight end George Kittle is expected to come off the IR, and play Saturday against the Cardinals. Considering how poorly most tight ends have performed in fantasy this year, Kittle’s return could give your lineup a nice boost. And it can’t hurt that he’ll have his former college teammate C.J. Beathard at QB. – ESPN

The George Kittle news is the happy end of the fantasy playoff roster spectrum. Here’s the other end for some owners – tight end Huntry Henry may not be available for the Chargers’ game with Denver, or for your Week 16 lineup. – ESPN

Derek Carr/s groin is apparently doing much better. That wasn’t meant to be funny. The poor guy was in quite a state of discomfort when he strained things early last week against the Chargers. MArcus Mariota took over and played well. The Raiders play the Dolphins on Saturday. Carr has practiced this week. Mariota is ready to roll. But who starts for Jon Gruden? Oh, the drama. “I am not going to let the cat out of the bag . . . both quarterbacks have prepared to play,” Gruden said. – via ProFotballTalk
